Littleton is a City of 45,000 residents and the seat for Arapahoe County. It is located on the Platte river and boast a historical downtown. Many neighborhoods share Littleon zip codes mostly in unincorporated Jefferson County to the west, making Littleton a much larger than the City itself. It grew from the 1950 to the 1990s mainly due to its proximity to the Lockheed-Martin production and engineering facility. It boasts a multitude of restaurants, shops, shopping malls, parks, green belts and rec centers. Its quality school districts and proximity to Denver are noteworthy.
