Highlands Ranch is an unincorporated community south of Denver.
Founded in 1981 it is now home to slightly over 100,000 residents. Highlands Ranch is in Douglas County and is consistently rated as one of the best places to live in Colorado and the nation. Quality Public Schools, a large network of green belts and multiple recreation centers make Highlands Ranch attractive to many residents.
Historically, Highlands Ranch tended to lean conservative but much like the rest of Colorado, recent demographic trends are bringing an influx of progressive residents.
